Every Child Matters

Every Child Matters, a Government initiative, encourages positive relationships for children with both parents, whether they are living together or separated. It emphasises the importance of ensuring that children have a voice, that children’s needs should remain foremost and that all services should reflect the diverse needs of families.

At HFC, we work to achieve the five Every Child Matters objectives; to be healthy, to stay safe, to enjoy & achieve, to make a positive contribution and to achieve economic well-being.

Our mission is to take a holistic approach in working with families beyond the initial issue presented. We aim to support families through the processes of emotional transition that result from separation by providing informal mediation. We encourage each party to seek mutually acceptable solutions for the well being of children.
